There’s a new tart in town.

My current smoothie recipe as promised.

I have to say, I get really frustrated with my mum when asking for recipes, because I’m always provided with ‘a dash of this’ or ‘a bit of that’. A BIT/DASH IN RELATION TO WHAT? I’ve realised I’m about to do the same thing to you, so my apologies in advance. I’ll try and be more specific. I have measurements on my blender cups so that helps me, but not you!

Morning Mango Smoothie

  • About 110 ml of milk (I use full cream organic, but literally whatever.)
  • About 110 ml of coconut water (currently using Cocobella, but whatever is on sale is in!)
  • 1 heaped dessert spoon of yoghurt (I’m rather partial to Jalna pot-set organic, it’s not any more expensive than regular yoghurt, and you can get it at Woolworths.)
  • A small handful of raw macadamia nuts.
  • Now, if using a smaller cup I would just add diced, frozen mango until the volume gets to the max fill line. You don’t need this much, but I like mine really cold and ‘solid’.
  • Add a ‘few loops’ of honey, I’m guessing about a tablespoon. I’ve been adding a little more now that mangos are out of season to balance the flavor.
  • That’s it – I blend mine on auto IQ for about 40 seconds, but you will know what your blender needs.

Creamy, delicious, and tastes just like a mango Weis bar in a cup! Add whatever you want, I’ve started supplementing mine with frozen strawberries. I’m sure banana would work if you’re into that sort of thing.

That’s it! Enjoy.
